Club to attend the Narraghmore Heritage Day – 28th December

The Club has been invited by the Narraghmore Development Association to have a stand at the Narraghmore Heritage Day on Wednesday 28th December.

The theme of the day is to celebrate the history of the area going back to 1916.

Other local clubs and associations will also be there on the day and there will be a Vintage Tractor Run from the Post Office.

If you have any old fishing rods, reels, flys, books, photogrophs or pictures it would be great to have them there (safely) on display.

We plan to have a ‘Guess the weight of the Fish’, ‘Name that Fly’ as well as other competitions, demonstrations and games.  We’ll also be scouting for other Anglers who may have been a member previously or who might want to join the Club now.boat

If you have any great ideas for how to ‘dress’ the stand or ways to highlight what angling was like 100 years ago – please get in touch – your contribution would be really welcome.

If you want to either help out on the day or have something that you’d like to exhibit or just want to dress up in something vaguely old and fishy – come along!centre pin reel

All volunteers or supporters should contact either Seamus Buggle (0877407670) or Tim Pullen (0866044820).
