1st July 2017 – Family Fishing Day @ Laois Angling Centre

Many thanks to Ray O’Reilly for organising a great day out for everyone.  Ray also sorted out purchasing the Club Kit as well as giving a very well presented introduction on arrival.

John at Laois Angling Centre could not have been a better host – with 4 lakes to fish from there was plenty for everyone.  We had sole use of one lake – which had been freshly stocked just for us.

23 Members, friends and family turned out – and their praise was unanimous!  We will do this again!

There was plenty of support available for all attendees, whether it was fly fishing casting technique or simply help getting a worm onto the hook.

Children (and a few adults) used loan rods with Bubble floats and worms!

Carefully does it! Jamie is watched by his dad (waiting patiently for his go).

Jamie was first into a Rainbow – but lost it as he had to let it run whilst waiting for the landing net.

Meanwhile – ‘Haslam Corner’ was getting into gear. Prolific catching went on all day!

We all have one thing in common: we all love to fish!
